Description: Doubleweight early thirties portrait by Elmer Fryer (embossed), inscribed and signed to cameraman William Jolley. Scarce, especially in oversized format, and from around the time he starred in The Invisible Man. (Vintage original photograph; true vintage autograph)
Condition: Good with an approximately 3 3/4" diagonal crease near the lower left corner, which has caused some emulsion loss. There is a smaller (approximately 2") crease below it. There are also small bits of tape on two corners, slight surface loss from one of the corners, and minor handling creases. It appears that Rains switched pens after beginning the inscription, but this affects the first few letters of the inscription only. The main image area is in fine shape
