Description:  Doubleweight forties portrait inscribed and signed by the screen legend (1916-2020).  An extremely rare item from very early in his career, around the time he had an important supporting role in the film noir classic Out of the Past (1947).  Douglas would soon become a film superstar with great roles in Ace in the Hole (1951), Detective Story (1951), The Bad and the Beautiful (1952), 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea (1954), Lust for Life (1956), Gunfight at the O.K. Corral (1957), Stanley Kubrick's Paths of Glory (1957) and Spartacus (1960), and Seven Days in May (1964), among many other classics.  (Vintage original photograph; true vintage autograph)
