Size:  Slightly over 7x10.5

Description:  Exceedingly rare and outstanding three-page autograph letter written on both sides of two sheets of stationery and one side of another, signed with his nickname (Hannes); mailing envelope with his handwritten name included.  Sent to his close friend, socialite and philanthropist J. Watson Webb, from Georgia, where the tragic actor was on location for the filming of the Walt Disney production The Great Locomotive Chase (1956).  Hunter's films include John Ford's The Searchers (1956), the Biblical classic King of Kings (directed by Nicholas Ray; 1961), and the interesting film noir Brainstorm (1965).  He starred in the Star Trek pilot episode, "The Cage" (1965).  His untimely death following a fall occurred in 1969, when he was only forty-two.  (Vintage item from October, 1955)
