Description:  Scarce late fifties portrait inscribed and signed (Bob) at the earliest phase of his Hollywood career, when he was an actor in Man of a Thousand Faces (1957), The Sun Also Rises (1957), The Fiend Who Walked the West (1958), and a few other films.  Mentored by Chicago-Hollywood power broker Sidney Korshak, Evans would become one of the most successful producers in cinema history.  Drug addiction and crimes associated with his 1984 film The Cotton Club tarnished his career, but he remained a colorful and near-mythic figure until his death at eighty-nine in 2019.  (Vintage original photograph; true vintage autograph)
