Description:  Rare doubleweight portrait inscribed and signed by the stage legend (1893-1971) with her nickname, Penny.  Photograph by the famed Maurice Goldberg studio of New York (embossed on the lower right).  Pennington performed in many hit Broadway musicals of the 1910s and twenties, including several editions of the Ziegfeld Follies and George White's Scandals.  She had roles in several silent films and a few historical Hollywood musicals of the early sound era.  (Vintage original photograph; true vintage autograph)
