Description:  Typed letter on Mercury Theatre letterhead, signed by the great director (1915-1985) when he was a boy wonder of stage and radio.  An extremely scarce pre-Hollywood item signed almost exactly two years before he made film history with Citizen Kane (1941).  (Vintage item dated May 16, 1939)

Condition:  Fine Minus with a diagonal bend on the left area not affecting the content, some handling wear, and age discoloration; folded for mailing but stored flat
