Description:  Rare inscribed and signed doubleweight portrait circa early forties.  Coburn (1877-1961), the great comic character actor, gave unforgettable performances in some of Hollywood's most beloved classics including Bachelor Mother (1939), Preston Sturges' The Lady Eve (1941), The Devil and Miss Jones (1941), George Stevens' The More the Merrier (1943), for which he won an Oscar, Ernst Lubitsch's Heaven Can Wait (1943), Howard Hawks' Monkey Business (1952), Douglas Sirk's Has Anybody Seen My Gal?
