Description:  Rare German postcard signed by the great actor, unforgettable as Cesare in the Expressionist horror classic, The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (1920).  Veidt's other career highlights include The Hands of Orlac (1924), Waxworks (1924), The Man Who Laughs (1928), The Thief of Bagdad (1940), and Casablanca (1942).  He was only fifty when he died in 1943.  (Vintage item circa late twenties)
