Description:  Extremely scarce signed doubleweight portrait from the forties.  The Scottish-born actor had a fine role in Murder, My Sweet (1944), one of the key film noir classics.  Douglas also appeared in The Great Gabbo (1929), Deadwood Dick (1940), Edgar G. Ulmer's Club Havana (1945), and Gilda (1946).  His untimely death at forty occurred in 1945.  (Vintage original photograph; true vintage autograph)
