Subject:  Harry Earles (Harry Doll)

Size:  Approximately 3.5x5.5

Description:  Exceptionally scarce postcard signed (Harry Doll) by the dwarf actor in pencil on the reverse.  Earles (1902-1985) gave remarkable performances in Tod Browning's The Unholy Three (1925) and Freaks (1932), and appeared as a Lollipop Guild Member in The Wizard of Oz (1939).  He and his siblings, billed as the Doll Family, were a major circus attraction for decades.  (Vintage item postmarked 1945)

Condition: Fine Minus with small corner creases, light edge wear, and a small punch-hole on the upper left; the original owner wrote all around the signature with slight overlap
