Subject: Patricia Palmer (Margaret "Gibby" Gibson)
Size: 3x5
Description: Surpassingly rare index card inscribed and signed by the minor silent actress (1894-1964) who acted under the name of Margaret Gibson until her scandalous 1917 arrest in a Los Angeles brothel. In an effort to salvage her career, she changed her name to Patricia Palmer and worked intermittently until 1929, resorting to prostitution and blackmail when acting jobs proved scarce. A pious Catholic convert in later years, she allegedly made a deathbed confession to the murder of director William Desmond Taylor, whose 1922 slaying remains one of Hollywood's most baffling unsolved mysteries. (Vintage item circa early thirties)
Condition: Very Fine Minus with light toning and minor handling wear
