Description:  Rare signed portrait from the fifties.  Hayes, who began her film career as one of innumerable starlets who tested for the role of Scarlett O'Hara in Gone with the Wind, is best remembered for co-starring in the 1955 classic, Blackboard Jungle.  Other films include Preston Sturges' Sullivan's Travels (1941), The Glass Key (1942), the classic film noir The Case Against Brooklyn (1958), and 13 West Street (1962).  She also appeared in episodes of TV's Cheyenne, Yancy Derringer, Bonanza, and Perry Mason.  Her untimely death at sixty occurred in 1977.  (Vintage original photograph; true vintage autograph)
