Daniels (1916-1990) got his start in two exploitation films directed by the infamous Dwain Esper, Marihuana (1936) and Sex Madness (1937). He made the transition to mainstream Hollywood fare with roles in Wives Under Suspicion (1938), Whistling in the Dark (1941), Joe Smith, American (1942), Kid Glove Killer (1942), Fingers at the Window (1942), and many other studio-era productions.
