Subject:  Wilhelm Stenhammar

Description:  Album page signed and dated by the renowned Swedish composer and musician, a great late romanticist noted for his superb orchestral, chamber, and vocal works.  Plagued by illness and self-doubt in his later years, Stenhammar died young at fifty-six in 1927.  Nearly nonexistent in signed material.  Signed and dated on the other side by great pianist Benno Moiseiwitsch (1890-1963).  (Vintage item signed in 1920 by Stenhammar and in 1918 by Moiseiwitsch)
