Description: Supremely rare inscribed and signed autograph album page. Whelan (1893-1957) is best known as one of the directors of the classic 1940 fantasy, The Thief of Bagdad. He also wrote some of the most memorable comedies of the silent era, including Harold Lloyd's Safety Last (1923) and The Freshman (1925), and the Harry Langdon films The Strong Man and Tramp, Tramp, Tramp (both 1926). (Vintage item from the early forties)
