Description:  Rare postcard inscribed, signed, and dated on the reverse by the Russian-born conductor (1874-1951).  Koussevitzky led the Boston Symphony Orchestra from 1924 to 1949, transforming it during his tenure into a world-renowned ensemble.  A noted champion of new music, he commissioned and premiered several 20th century works that have entered the classical repertoire.  (Vintage item dated 1949 by Koussevitzky)
