Description:  Doubleweight portrait from the early thirties, inscribed and signed by the British actress generally acknowledged as the first of Alfred Hitchcock's hot-ice blondes.  June Howard-Tripp (1901-1985), billed as simply June, starred in Hitchcock's The Lodger (1926), the groundbreaking silent thriller that established his reputation.  Extremely scarce, especially in signed photos.  (Vintage original photograph; true vintage autograph)

Condition:  Very Fine Minus with minor corner creases, two short closed edge tears, loss to the lower right corner, a trimmed upper edge, and creasing and wear along the right border area; the image area is pristine
