Description:  Exceptionally scarce inscribed and signed (Alec. Francis) doubleweight portrait circa late twenties.  Francis usually played elderly gentlemen, with appearances in nearly 250 films from the early silent era to 1934, the year of his death at sixty-six.  Films include The Circle (1925), The Terror (1928), Mata Hari (1931), and Oliver Twist (1933).  (Vintage original photograph; true vintage autograph)
