Description:  Scarce portrait taken for the film Valentino, inscribed and signed (Tony Dexter) by the fifties and sixties actor (1913-2001).  Dexter, who bore a startling resemblance to Rudolph Valentino, was aptly cast as the legendary silent idol in the 1951 biopic.  Other films include Captain Kidd and the Slave Girl (1954), Fire Maidens of Outer Space (1956), The Story of Mankind (1957), 12 to the Moon (1960), and The Phantom Planet (1961).  (Vintage original photograph; true vintage autograph)
