Subject:  David Durand

Size:  Slightly over 7.5x9.5

Description:  Supremely rare still taken for Paramount Pictures' first musical, Innocents of Paris (1929), inscribed and signed by the child actor when he was about nine years old.  Durand (1920-1998) had roles in several films including Bad Sister (1931), The Life of Jimmy Dolan (1933), Little Men (1934), Hat, Coat, and Glove (1934), Angels with Dirty Faces (1939), and The Ghost Breakers (1940).  As a young adult, he replaced Bobby Jordan in the popular East Side Kids series of comedies.  Nearly nonexistent in signed material.  (Vintage original photograph; true vintage autograph)

Condition:  Good Plus with scattered handling creases, a few closed edge tears, and a tiny bit of discoloration to the upper right corner; the borders have been slightly trimmed
