Description: Supremely scarce autograph album page inscribed and signed by the designer whose alcoholism effectively ended her brilliant career in the early forties. Tree (1899-1962) did the costumes for Woman to Woman (1923; one of the earliest films on which Alfred Hitchcock worked), the early sci-fi film Just Imagine (1930), The Thin Man (1934), the legendary Marx Brothers comedy A Night at the Opera (1935), David Copperfield (1935), A Tale of Two Cities (1935), Tod Browning's horror classic The Devil-Doll (1936), Babes in Arms (1939), and many other films. Among the stars who sported her creations were Jean Harlow, Myrna Loy, Judy Garland, Rosalind Russell, and Maureen O'Sullivan. (Vintage item from the early forties)
