Subject:  Harry Townes

Description:  Extremely scarce portrait from the fifties or early sixties, inscribed and signed (first name) to fellow actor Don Gordon.  Townes (1914-2001) had a great career as a character actor on TV and in a few films.  Credits include guest roles on Alfred Hitchcock Presents, The Twilight Zone, Thriller, Route 66, The Outer Limits, The Virginian, The F.B.I., Perry Mason, The Fugitive, Star Trek, The Invaders, Bonanza, Gunsmoke, and many other classic shows of the network era.  Films include the cult classic Screaming Mimi (1958), Destination Space (1959), and Fitzwilly (1967).  Somewhat flawed, but a rare item of superb provenance.  (Vintage original photograph; true vintage autograph)

Condition:  Fine Minus; the photo appears to have been slightly trimmed and was mounted on heavy board, with minor smudging to the inscription
