Subject: Jackie Coogan and Grace Darmond
Size: Approximately 4x6
Description: Scarce autograph album page inscribed and signed by celebrated silent-era child star Jackie Coogan on one side and silent actress Grace Darmond on the other. An exceptionally rare childhood autograph of Coogan (1914-1984), who gave a legendary performance in Charlie Chaplin's 1921 classic, The Kid. He enjoyed a career resurgence in his middle years playing Uncle Fester on the famed TV sitcom, The Addams Family (1964-1966). Darmond (1898-1963), a stunning beauty and known drug dealer, allegedly supplied morphine to the addicted silent idol Wallace Reid, who would die of his habit in 1923. She is best remembered for her involvement in a rather unorthodox love triangle with screen legend Rudolph Valentino and his lesbian first wife, Jean Acker, who abandoned him on their wedding night to be with Darmond. (Vintage item circa early twenties)
