Description: Exceptionally scarce doubleweight portrait circa 1929, inscribed and signed by the lovely silent and early sound actress (1906-1942). With her long blonde hair and delicate beauty, Loff was a distinctive presence in films of the late twenties and early thirties including Hold 'Em Yale (1928), The Racketeer (1929), Party Girl (1930), the historical musical King of Jazz (1930), and Flirtation (1934). Her tragic death under mysterious circumstances occurred in 1942, when she was only thirty-five. (Vintage original photograph; true vintage autograph)
