Description: Inscribed and signed (Lou Shorty) album page from the forties; the diminutive character actor was then famous for voicing the Shorty the Barber character on radio's hugely popular Amos 'n' Andy show. Lubin (1895-1973) is now better known for his unforgettable performance in the Val Lewton-produced thriller, The Seventh Victim (1943). Other films include Johnny Eager (1941), A-Haunting We Will Go (1942; starring Laurel and Hardy), Lady of Burlesque (1943), William Castle's When Strangers Marry (1944), and Cry Danger (1951). One of the very rarest character actor autographs. The inscription and signature of actor Jim Brown (TV's The Adventures of Rin Tin Tin) is on the reverse. (Vintage item circa late forties)
