Description:  Stunning and scarce doubleweight portrait circa late thirties, inscribed and signed by the beautiful actress who was one of Alfred Hitchcock's favorite leading ladies.  Carroll (1906-1987) starred in several memorable classics including Hitchcock's The 39 Steps (1935), and Secret Agent (1936), Lloyd's of London (1936), Prisoner of Zenda (1937), Blockade (1938), Northwest Mounted Police (1940), and My Favorite Blonde (1942).  (Vintage original photograph; true vintage autograph)
