Description:  Rare doubleweight portrait inscribed and signed (Dick) in 1933.  Photograph by Otto Dyar (embossed).  One of Hollywood's top leading men of the late silent period to the early thirties, Arlen (1899-1976) starred in a number of classics including the first Best Picture Oscar winner, Wings (1927), Beggars of Life (1928), The Four Feathers (1928), The Virginian (1929), and the Bela Lugosi horror classic Island of Lost Souls (1932).  (Vintage original photograph; true vintage autograph)
