Description:  Exceptionally rare sixties publicity photo taken for his hit Western series, The Big Valley, inscribed and signed to the daughter of an assistant director who worked with him.  Although best remembered for his TV career, Long had roles in a number of films including The Stranger (1946), Ma and Pa Kettle (1949), Cult of the Cobra (1955), and House on Haunted Hill (1959).  He also appeared in episodes of Wagon Train, Maverick, Thriller, and The Twilight Zone.  His untimely death occurred in 1974, when he was only forty-seven.  (Vintage original photograph; true vintage autograph)
