Description: Exceptionally scarce 1939 portrait signed with her first name early in her career, when she was billed as Betty McLaughlin. Ryan (1929-1975) is best remembered as the female lead in two Laurel and Hardy comedies, Great Guns (1941) and A-Haunting We Will Go (1942). Other films include the 1941 Charlie Chan mystery Dead Men Tell, The Gang's All Here (1941), and the 1947 film noir Railroaded.
