Ross achieved fame in the fifties and sixties with his offbeat looks and popular catchphrase, "I'm with you," uttered on Jackie Gleason's variety series as well as other TV shows and films. Credits include Campus Sleuth (1948), Ma and Pa Kettle at Home (1954), Beyond the Valley of the Dolls (1970), What's Up Doc (1972), and episodes of My Favorite Martian, Starsky and Hutch, Fantasy Island, Cagney and Lacey, and The X-Files.
